I'm a design leader who sets a direction teams want to build toward.
My superpower is seeing what a designer is capable of before they do, and putting them in a position to prove it. I still stay close enough to the work to know exactly what I'm asking of them.

Setting a vision for a unified, agentic platform that teams could build toward
We called ourselves an agentic platform. We were actually four disconnected products stitched into one nav, with no one owning what "unified" should even mean. I didn't wait for a mandate: aligned product and design around shared principles, then ran a cross-office design week to turn that alignment into a real vision and IA proposal.

Pave, Design Manager, 2025-2026
Steering a design-led rebuild of our most complex product
Market Pricing was our fastest-growing enterprise product, and it was falling apart: constant bug triage, hours-long tasks that should've been self-serve, unusable enough that we froze new sales. I stepped in to make sure the fix wasn't more bandaids, restaffing the team, splitting short and long-term work, and getting stakeholder buy-in for a full design-led rebuild.

Designing the data product to earn trust and oust the incumbent
Market Data is Pave's moat, the compensation data our platform's insights are built on. But we didn't have the credibility of the incumbents we were competing against. I used Claude to rapidly prototype a new search experience and got it in front of users within days. The early signal was strong enough that I used it to make the case for a much bigger scope than what had been requested, redesigning the core experience rather than patching around it.

MasterClass, Design Lead (Manager), 2021–2023
Finding enterprise market fit for a consumer brand
MasterClass was spinning up a B2B product after building its name in consumer. I joined as the sole designer and built from 0 to 1 to unlock enterprise deals. But bolting enterprise features onto the consumer product wasn't enough to actually scale the business. I led research to find MasterClass's actual differentiator in the L&D space and designed a north star experience around it, reorienting the product from content browsing to skills-based learning. I managed two designers, one on growth and one on learner experience, while staying player-coach on admin myself.
